This bucket is great for horses and large dogs or where a large tank cannot be used. It has a capacity of 5 gallons (20 quarts), with a built-in thermostat and will keep water ice-free during below zero conditions. Tested to withstand temperatures to 20 below zero. Keeps water from freezing but does not act as a water warmer.

The heater is completely hidden within the walls of the platic bucket and is thermostatically controlled, turning on at approximately 38 degrees and off at 50 degrees. The heating element will not turn on until temperature gets cold enough. The bucket shuts off if bucket runs empty.

The "flat back" allows it to be conveniently hung in a stall. Each unit comes complete with a sturdy bail (handle). The cord exits from back or bottom of pail to prevent chewing. The cord is 67" long including plug-bottom of bucket has grooves for cord to stick out from either back or side.

The element is not exposed. UL tested and approved. 1-year warranty.
