eGGe Dog Toy

There are dogs for whom tennis balls and rubber toys are enough, and there are dogs who need an eGGe... The eGGe is a unique, almost indestructible dog toy that is especially designed for the most high energy, toy-destroying dogs!

If regular dog toys can't quite drain the energy out of your ball-crazy dog, unleash the eGGe for a play experience the likes of which he has never experienced.

Available in six bright colors. eGGe floats! Recommended for all but the smallest dogs. 14" long.

*Be advised that if your dog is an AGGRESSIVE chewer, no toy is indestructible. Dogs that are aggressive chewers should not have any toys left with them. There are dogs that can chew up anything. Owners who buy these dogs toys and leave them unattended are risking their dogs swallowing parts of a toy and having a bowel obstruction. A bowel obstruction is either going to kill your dog or result in surgery that can easily cost $1,000.00.

*Colors may vary slightly from images shown.

WarningNo toy is 100% indestructible. It is unrealistic to expect that from any toy. The toys that we sell at Leerburg® are the best quality and most durable that we have found. Always supervise your dog when playing with toys. Periodically inspect all toys for damage. Do not allow your dog to continue to play with a damaged or broken toy.

Here's a video I recently took of our Briard Luna playing in the snow with her favorite toy...the Egge. Enjoy!

Hello Ed and Cindy,

I just received my order about 10 minutes ago (Boingo ball, eGGe, Orbee ball on a string, and Cinch-It collar). I couldn't wait to get the eGGe out to see how the dogs liked it since you say in your eGGe video that the dogs can't get their mouths around them. They seemed to be such a hit with your dogs! We have two Rottweilers. Our female is 3 1/2 years old and our male is 11 months. I have to say that I was very disappointed with the fact that my female punctured holes in the eGGe within seconds of getting it out in the yard. She had a great time running around with it but she bit into it right when I threw it to her. I'm hoping that maybe you can edit your video on the eGGe so that it doesn't say that it is indestructible. I'm attaching a picture of the eGGe to show you what our rottie girl did to it (yes, this happened within seconds of me putting it out in the yard!).

I, however, am pleased with everything else in my order. My rottie male has wonderful focus with the Orbee ball on a string and the Cinch-It collar works perfectly for the Dogtra remote collar. The Boingo ball is also a hit!

Ed's Response to Tricia:

Tricia,

If you look at the bottom of every page I sell toys on, you will see that there is NO TOY that is indestructible. Some dogs (your dogs) should not have most toys because they can and will destroy them. You just found this out.

This is not the fault of the toy you give them – it’s a factor of your dog.

I am raising a Mal puppy that is 8 months old. I can’t leave anything other than a cow mat in with him because he chews it up. He is laying in my office as I type this. I learned this the hard way and I have accepted it.

Your dog chews very tough items. You need to accept this and not give the dog toys. I go to the grocery store and buy 30 pounds of cow knuckle bones at a time. He gets 2 or 3 a day.

A key to being a good dog handler is to recognize your dogs strengths and needs. You have a very strong dog. Not many people have dogs like this or dogs like my Mal. You need to find ways to work with your dogs strengths.

Regards,
Ed Frawley

My friends keep stealing this toy for their dogs. I have to keep replacing it! I love this play toy for my dog.

Thank you so much for our Egge! My 14 month old GSD LOVES this toy and gets a real workout chasing it around our snow covered yard. On snow and ice it really slips around - it is like an alien hockey puck. It also seems pretty indestructible - My dog has punctured quite a few soccer and foot balls over the months but the egge is still going strong. It also gives me a wonderful laugh just watching his antics. It is a great toy! Ariel in Massachusetts

I bought two eGGes, one for Hans and one for my nephew's lab. They both went over very well. I may change my signature pic to one of the pictures I took of Hans playing with the eGGe in the snow.

Oh boy, oh boy! Lots of Leerburg goodies for me (cough, cough, I mean the DOGS) under the tree this morning. HILARIOUS time watching Carbon go nuts for the eGGe... glad I had my video camera ready (although the neighbors probably hate me because of the barking)!

Happy Holidays to everyone, with and without fur.

Just wanted to add that my husband asked that they not put the Leerburg name on the return address for the packages he ordered for me: So the other day one came from Kris Kringle in the North Pole. Well done Leerburg! That one really had me curious!
