This leash is 10 feet long by 3/4 inch wide. The soft grip leashes are made from a synthetic immitation leather material. It has the same durability as leather, but is much stronger. Great ball (5) for our GSD, however, our Cocker Spaniel loved to peel the outer layer off and chew on it! I finally peeled the remainder layer off and the ball is safer for the little. This is not a ball for the dog who loves to chew.

These balls and the other Orbee Tuff toys are the only ones that last any decent amount of time with my GSD and Malinois. They make a frisbee that is the GSD's favorite, and my Mal loves chewing the large balls like they're gum - it gives his jaw a good workout, I guess. The dogs seem to love how pliable they are and I love that they don't fall apart with all of the abuse. Most dogs can pull the "continents" off, though some won't try. The good news is, once they're peeled off, the ball still is tough and still lasts - the bad news is you have to watch out to make sure your dog isn't eating pieces. My Mal squashes the one we use in training FLAT and it still bounces back. It's finally developed a couple of cracks, but I've had the thing over 2 years, so I can't complain. The balls also bounce really well, so if you throw them in a closed room you can really get your dog going all over the place trying to catch it. My GSD likes to bounce them off the wall to herself.
If you have a big yard and toys get lost, buy the glow-in-the dark version. We once found one of these 6 months after my GSD rolled it off the balcony of our 2nd story condo. When fall hit and the leaves fell we saw it glowing out in the woods behind our building. It's also pretty funny to see a dog carrying it around in the dark - it almost looks like it's floating around the house.

I have had 4 large sizes of these. I have not bought any ball in my local pet stores that last more then a week but my GS has not been able to hurt these in any way.

Dear Leerburg Folks,
We live in South Africa and love your website. It is very difficult to obtain good quality dog training equipment and with our South African currency being 6:1 against the dollar importing goods can be very costly. Then, there is our South African Postal Service – don’t get me started! If you don’t want something to reach its destination – Then post it!
I was so intrigued by the Orbee ball that I took the plunge and ordered 3 balls from your site. Imagine how pleased I was when 10 days later my parcel from Leerburg arrived.
Thank you so much for the prompt service. Now…. About the balls, they are fabulous! We have trained and Qualified IPO and Schutzhund with our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs. They love to bite – and do it extremely well. We have retired our dogs from active competition (they are 7 years old and for a large breed dog, that is a good age to start taking it a bit easier) but we still train them – just for fun!
Needless to say your Orbee Ball can withstand the crushing jaws of a 50 kg BMD that can easily shake a 200 pound helper until his teeth rattle – and the orbee ball survived to tell the tale! Below are some pics of the boyz enjoying a good tug of war with their O-Balls. (PS: the O-Ball smells “minty” – very nice… beats old dog slobber any day).

I recently purchased the 42 foot synthetic leather long line and it is great. I have used it outside in snow and rain and it does not get slimy or soaked. Good product, thanks. I also have a boxer-lab mix who is driving himself nut trying to destroy the orb ball. He has not done it yet, once again thanks, he has been able to destroy all other toys. Those Orbee balls are awesome, the ones that I received last year still look like new. I use them for training & my two older females like playing with them for toys & chewing them, they are so far indestructible……..great product!!!

I am glad you added the Orbee ball on a string to your inventory. My new pup wouldn't bite or grip the old hard ball on the string, he would always go for the string. I think it was too hard for him to bite. Now, he is targeting, biting and tugging the medium Orbee. The new leather rag is also nice and is getting a good work out. My pup loves the leather rag tug.

Is the Orbee Tuff-Ball still sold with the option of a tug string on the Leerburg site? I'd specifically like to have the Orbee Tuff-Ball with a string but don't see that as an option in the pull down menu when selecting size and colors.

Unfortunately the Orbee Tuff balls are no longer available with a string, however they do still have the holes that you are able to add your own rope.
