What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program is a no-cost no-risk way to sell products and make money on your web site. It's a perfect way to test market the power of your web site to generate a profit.
You must have a web site to become a leerburg affiliate.
Affiliates create a web page on their web site for specific products. We provide the "buy now" button for that web page. When a customer comes to the affiliates site and places an order that order comes directly to Leerburg along with a computer code telling us where the order came from.
We here at Leerburg collect the customers money, and ship the product. We pay affiliate a commission on the products that originate from their web site.
An affiliate does not inventory products. They do not deal with credit card companies and they do not have to ship products. They simply create the web page and that's it. We do the rest.
Our affiliate program is a risk free way for someone to test the power of their site to sell products. It's also a way to build web traffic and increase the viability of their web site on the internet.
As we make more and more products available to our affiliates some will find that they can sell enough of a certain kind or category of product to justify investing in inventory and becoming an actual dealer. (dealers make a larger profit than affiliates)
Some people simply don't have the time, money or desire to become a dealer. But they do enjoy working on their kennels or dog clubs web site. These people can add products to their site that over time will generate traffic, provide a service to their customers or club members and make a small profit.
This is a no lose deal for affiliates. There is no risk and no investment other than the time to add products to their web site.
How Does it Work?
When an affiliate is accepted into our program they create a web page for each of the respective Leerburg products they choose to sell. They are allowed to use the photos and promotional text for that specific product on their web page for that product. We provide the computer code (html code) for the “BUY NOW” button that appears on the affiliate web page. This html code contains a unique code for each individual affiliate.
When a customer purchases a product using the affiliate “buy now” button the order comes directly to Leerburg along with the computer code telling us what web site that order came from. Leerburg processes the order and ships the product.
Affiliates are paid a commission on each product that is ordered off their web site.

How can I Become a Leerburg Affiliate?
To become a Leerburg Affiliate; go to our sign up page and enter your information.
Once you are signed up we will review the information and approve the web site the affiliate will use to sell our products. (We only approve dog related web sites).
Once an affiliate is approved we will provide the information needed to log into our Affiliate Control Panel. The control panel will provide the unique computer code that is used to put the “Buy Now” buttons on the affiliates web page. You will be provided with an eBook on how to use and access the control panel.
That’s it! No need to worry about inventory, billing, or shipping. Leerburg does it all for you! Simply add the buy button code to your site and earn money.
Every affiliate needs to be approved. We run our affiliate program on strict rules to maintain a standard of excellence in the people who represent our company.
How Much are the Commissions?
Commissions on products vary from product to product. The range of commissions is 7.5% to 50% depending on the products. For example, the commission on our House Training eBook is 50%.
What is the difference between an affiliate and a dealer?
Leerburg also has dealers for specific products. A dealer is expected to purchase a minimum amount of a product at one time. A dealers discount is always higher than an affiliate commission because dealers collect customer money and handle their own shipping. See our Dealer Discount at

Affiliate Rules
- You must register with the web site you will be selling from. All sites that you will place Leerburg “Buy Now” buttons must only be on a Leerburg approved page.
- Your site must NOT contain anything else deemed offensive by Leerburg.
- Your site must obey all copyright laws. (Leerburg’s copyright and other’s copyrights).
- Affiliate offers are not allowed to be sent through email, they must be on a web page.
- Affiliates are allowed to use the images and text describing Leerburg products that are on the corresponding Leerburg product’s page
- Affiliates are NOT allowed to use any Leerburg.com Articles, Question & Answers, or Testimonials to describe Leerburg products or promote their web site
- We write out checks on the first business day after the 5th of every month. You need a minimum of $25 commission earned before we will issue a check. Earnings of less than $25 in a month are carried over into the next month, and so on until you reach at least the $25 minimum for a check to be issued. Commissions are paid in US dollars only.
- All affiliates must fill out and fax or mail in a W-9 form for tax purposes. We cannot issue a check until we have a signed W-9 form from the affiliate!

- Prices may change on Leerburg products at any time. We pay commission on the Leerburg price on the product at the time of the sale. If Leerburg is running a special or sale on a specific product when a customer purchases that product, the customer will receive the sale price and the affiliate will receive the commission based on that sale price. Commissions will not be paid on fraudulent orders.
- Leerburg does not provide technical support. Leerburg assumes that anyone that already has a web site has a fundamental knowledge of how to add html code to a web page.
- Leerburg Reserves the right to deny an applicant or cancel an affiliate’s account.

Hello Ed & Cindy,
Just wanted to drop a note and say thank you for the couple of checks for the Leerburg Affiliate Program, it was very gratifying to receive them in the mail. Put a smile on my face knowing that the time I spent on the web pages I made paid off a little bit and helped sell your great products. Hope all is well, still waiting for the snow to disappear here so we can get back out on the field and train. Has been a record snowfall and cold weather this year.
