Having the right length and type of probe on your remote collar will determine how effective the remote collar will operate. Additional or replacement probes for Educator electric collars so you can choose the best type of probe for your dog.

Recommendations

The Micro Probe (3/8") should be used for the following breeds, or breeds with similar coats: Boxers, Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Short-hair Pointers, Dachshunds, Basenji, Coonhound, Bull Terrier, Dalmatian, Great Dane, Jack Russell, Miniature Pinscher, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Saluki, and the Whippet.

5/8" and 3/4" usually come standard with the purchase of any Educator electric collar.

If you have a thick coated dog you will want to consider the 3/4" for thick hair probes.

Dogs with long hair will need 1" probes.
