We can't even do our jobs anymore......

This is a good buddy of mine Santos Cordona. He seems to have beaten all charges but will still have to do some time. What the hell is the world coming to. We are at war and war is ugly no matter how you cut it. For those of you that get this and agree with the punishment I ask you to walk a mile in his shoes you will have a change of heart.

I served with Santos in Germany, Afghan, and Iraq. HE was there for me the day I lost my partner Donja. I cried like a baby and Santos was right there to help cheer me right up. Being deployed is no party you spent 6months to a year away not knowing when you are really coming home facing the worst the the human race has to offer every day and you have to make split second decision that will effect you the rest of your life. He let his dog bark and someone the same someone that would cut your head off and kill your family the same someone that flew planes into the trade center the same someone that is trying to board school buses in Florida. I ask you this where the hell is the justice in that. I think we all need to reevaluate our version of freedom and how bad we really want it!

I ask weather you agree with me or not prey for Santos's Family he has a little girl that will be with out her daddy for a while.

God bless you "Pork and Cheese"

I think that when you mistreat prisoners in a prison it has nothing to do with war. If you are in an environment where it is "normal" to do that it is very easy to do it too. Normal treatment of prisoners and humanity is one of the things that should make the difference between us and the enemy. If that is not the reason that the West is in Iraq the only reason I can think of is oil.

With out getting into it to much, these people where not considered to be prisoners yet. They where in the interrogation area still. At that point they are still stone hearted terroists nothing more. Giving a chance the very same person would burn you alive in the name of Allah dont forget!!

When you are in a prison, you are a prisoner and not a combattant any more. When you shoot a terrorist when he's armed or when you want to arrest him and shoot him because you think he's armed or has a bomb,no problem. But once he's ypur prisoner you'll have to treat him in a decent way although you may be disgusted with him.

Just because a person is in a prison, or is a prisoner, does not mean they are no longer dangerous. These are people who will sacrifice their own life at a drop of a hat to take a life of ours. These are people trained in close quarter combat and I wouldn't consider them safe to be around unles they were chained four pointed to the concrete. Just because they are detained doesn't mean they are now harmless. They will always have death in their hearts and should be handled with that in mind. I'll ignore the comment about oil, other than to say that there are alot of dead New Yorkers who will strongly disagree with you.

Sorry Jan not too many people are going to be sympathetic to any of those animals. Did you forget about the tragic death of Theo Van Gogh and other acts of babarism in your own country? I beleive there was talk of deporting all middle easterners by your government.

Hopefully, this guy can get his carreer on ontrack again, I didn't hear about him getting the big chicken dinner, hell I shouldof got ninty days for some of the crap I pulled

9/11 had absolutely nothing to do with the war in Iraq, other than Bush pretended it was to get our men there... The real war should be solely in Afghanistan or Pakistan or whatever Stan Bin Laden ran to. However, since we're in Iraq we need to finish it off and get our men (and woman) out of there and do whatever that takes. It's terrible that the soldier was sentenced to hard labor, but at least he wasn't given a dishonorable discharge like the rest. We can only hope that those in charge at the brig, or wherever his 'hard labor' is to be served, will cut him some slack and treat him like the hero he is. Personally, I don't care what soldiers do to prisoners, but to say that NY'ers (dead or not) think the war in Iraq is a legitimate retaliation for 9/11 is false. Our war is in the mountains of one of the 'stans' and we know this.

It wouldn't be so stressful on those poor, mistreated prisoners if they were shot before the mean old dog was allowed to bark at them.
Did I say that with my outloud voice?

Yes, Bob. In fact, you wrote it, so there is indelible proof!

I had to read that story twice to make sure I wasn't missing anything, since by the responses, one would think that this angelic prisoner was tortured ...yet all I find is a story about a dog who barked... I find it quite interesting and just slightly amusing that on this board, a WORKING (like PSDs, MWDs, etc.) DOG FORUM, we have people who are against a barking dog. BARKING! WTF?!? Perhaps some bleeding hearts need a gentle reminder as to who the members of this board are, in general. At their age, it's easy to forget things like that (not you, Bob ). Go play nice with the prisoners yourselves if you have a problem with their treatment. Just make sure your dog doesn't bark at them .
