Sorry for your mess, unfortunely it is so common.I will never understand those kennels. They have no concept of what makes a successful business, honesty and referrals.
I hope your female works out for you.As for your male he is better off in your hands then theirs but it's sad it had to be at a high cost.

This post has been deleted by Ed Frawley after recieving the following email from David Kiewel- people will have to determine for themseleves if they care to do business with Mr Kiewel.

Hello Mr. Frawley,

As you may or may not be aware , I am currently pursuing legal action against several individuals which have time and time again tried to damage me, my business, and reputation. I am writing you this email in good faith to merely inform you that we will be taking legal action against Groupee, Inc. as well, for hosting and publishing libelous, defamatory, and damaging content, on your public discussion forum. To give you the opportunity to avoid reimbursement to Groupee, Inc. for all related damages, legal expenses, etc. that arise out of this suit, as I understand is outlined in their License Agreement. I would like to personally extend the opportunity to you to avoid such hassle by removing anything that has my name, or is associated with me or my business immediately from your discussion board.

Please realize that there are two sides to every story, and your discussion board is not the proper forum or venue for peoples personal vendettas and untruths - that sir, is the purpose of legal venues in place in our civilized society to remedy such claims. With that said, I appreciate and respect your dedication and the work you've done for the working dog community, and wish you luck in the future.

If you have any questions, please feel free email me personally.

Sincerely,

David Kiewel

Check this out http://www.malinois.com/otvitosha/index.html
I am amazed that these guys stay in business, but then again the Internet and a web site has made a lot of low life's tons of money.

I think the biggest problem for people is getting the info you need to make an educated decision. Even if you belong to a club
it is still so very hard. One person gets a good dog from guy X
the next person gets a wimp from guy X. Or some times people
over estimate the toughness of their dog and if you are a beginner how would you know that??? Some times people ego's
are bigger and tougher then their dog.
This site is the best source of info I have found.

Steve

Steve,
I've said this in over 20 previous posts, but it's worth repeating here - take an experienced helper/decoy to test any dog that you're thinking of buying. If a vendor refuses to allow your decoy to test their dog, they're hiding something, pure and simple.

If more new people would take this advice, they'd be much more likely to get the kind of dog that they were looking for, and they wouldn't have to fool themselves with "oh yeah, my dogs tough as nails" and then be standing there with their mouth hanging opening when their dog wouldn't engage the helper or decoy on trial day.

well you are right about that.I've seen people come to our club telling me how great their dog is , the dog was worth the $3000 they spent and the breeder was such an honest guy and so on and so on and when they bring out the dog we all think it's a joke!
Too many people out there buying blindly believing every web site they read and think "every breeder" is honest and breed for the "love" of the breed. It's a wishful thinking but not reality.Internet as been an open door for every crook, and as long as there are people like the one I mentioned the crooks will continue making money, for how long is another story.

Hey Folks, well apparently my website post is still having an impact on the Kiewels four years after the fact! I typed Kiewel working dogs into google and my page was the first listed... which is good, but also bad... since I just received notice that they are suing me! \:\(

So.... anyone care to email me privately with their experience with or contacts who've had experience with them??? In a Libel case, the truth can be a defense, however it has to be proven. I had plenty of emails and phone calls after this all hit the fan, however my hard drive on my business computer crashed and I lost all my emails.

If you can/will help, please email me at ourpassion@leidenschaftkennels.ca

Thanks in advance!
Tammy
