Well, over the weekend I made the decision to place Dante for sale. He's got potential in many areas, but I believe he will be best suited for an obedience/agility home. He shows potential for biting sports, but has only had a couple of sessions with a decoy. He will have some natural aggression, and is a little bit sharp. Michael Ellis evaluated him in bitework last month and said he would be a suitable dog for someone who is used to German Shepherds. I kind of chuckled at that, but what he means is that the dog is maturing at a slower rate compared to most Mals. He will need someone who can be patient while he grows up.
He is good with other dogs and cats, and a very happy camper. He has a great sense of humor and is very affectionate.
I don't think his drive (right now) is intense enough for detector work, and I don't think a career in law enforcement is his thing either.
A perfect home for him would be someone who wants an athletic dog, that's easy to handle and has good drives for toys and food. He has nice pack drive and wants to please the handler. He has the foundation for ringsport obedience (positions, place command, touch pads for jumping, heeling started) Bites the tug and outs nicely with the handler. Dante has only had a couple of sessions of "bitework" with a decoy.
Dante has also had hips prelimed and they look good to excellent, he loves to swim and has been to several seminars (Michael Ellis~ringsport and Ann Braue~agility) He has stayed in hotels with me and is very quiet. He's a great traveler, and loves to go to class. He's been enrolled in agility classes until recently and is running through weaves with the channels almost closed at a high rate of speed. I think we could close the channels but they won't let dogs under 12 months do closed weave poles at my training classes because growth plates may not be closed yet. He loves tunnels and is doing jump circles and jump chutes (with no bars-just the uprights.) this is going to be a FAST dog in agility!
All obedience foundation has been done on a flat collar with a clicker.
Serious inquiries can email cindy@kaiserhaus.com
As always, raw feeding/minimal vaccine homes only please!

I *know* - I wanted a competition agility dog, but now I've got too many fosters, and I've adopted a rescue pup for agility. If I thought I had time to devote to just one more dog... but my current ones are suffering as it is.
He is just beautiful and look at the focus. I really like the Malinois breed. I hope whoever buys him will keep the board posted with pics!!

Geesh, I should just put a big red bow on him and give him to Doug for being sooooooo nice to me....... (although I would probably not be around any longer to work the dogs I have )!!!!

Being a broke college student has never been so miserable. Ahhh, Dante, what I am looking for in a dog at the wrong time in my life.

Having been the *very* happy owner of a Mal from Cindy, to anyone considering getting Dante may I just say - take the leap. It's a wild and fun filled ride!

Oo, it looks like Dante is sold and gone. Bye bye pretty boy! Maybe one day in the (far) future I will have a dog like him.
