I will keep this short
We are continuing to work as per Drive and focus video.
Kane does not like to come" into my arms".. (I think because of issues raised in my last thread.)
So, am I correct in now back tracking and just randomly say " into my arms " click and treat? (during the day when he doesnt have a toy)
Should I continue as per the video or vary the training, or just focus on the "into my arms issue?"

You can bring him into your arms at all different times separate of everything else. I had to because in Building drive and focus I didnt pay enough attention to what cradling was for and had no Idea how it would affect things later. I'm not so sure about the clicking and treating for it though, coming into your arms is for calming and should be rewarding in itself and it may not if he is waiting for that treat.

Just an update for Kane,,,
I found that playing with a ball with him in the house made him alot more willing to come into my arms
I let him bring it back and I just stroked him and praised him quietly, and sat with him while he played with it. every time he let it go i quickly knocked it down the (carpeted ) stairs,he loved it and after a while he got so he would just bring it and put his head in my lap...we had a blast I dont know if this is a correct way of tackling the problem, but he is much more willing to let me "cradle "him now when I do the drive training

I posted a while back about trouble bringing my pup into my arms (she's 6 1/2 mos. old now). She'd come in, but chew on the tug like crazy and want to run off with it and such. I persevered - with some good advice from here.
I practiced a lot without the toy, and NEVER said "out" for about 3 weeks of 3X/day practice. Now she'll do it! And she doesn't chew.
Keep at 'er is all I mean by this post.
