I am curious to know what the "yellow stars" below the members name mean? I have been spending a fair amount of time on the forums as of the last couple of days & I notice these stars on a lot of peoples posts. Thanks just thought I would ask.

lol, i remember asking the same question. Basically, they don't mean anything, you can give stars if you like a question or topic, if enough people star you, you get a star that shows up under your name.....

i have never done the star thing, mostly, because i never remember it...

Mallory are those your dogs in the picture w/you? Do you use prong collars yourself? Do you have a prong collar you prefer or suggest? We have the challenge when we walk them together & they get so amped up that they are going out for a walk on the property & down to the river. It makes it very difficult for everyone to enjoy their time.

i use herm springer prongs from leerburg on all of them. personally, i like the chrome ones, but that is just me.

mine are crazy too when we first get out, sometimes, the first block can be down right embarassing, until we have a come to jesus meeting......lol.

Yea...I can relate we have a lot of come to Jesus meetings on our property & it is down right embarrassing even when it is just Steven & I walking the pups. It is like a circus at times. I am looking at the prong collars as we speak, I am certainly going to invest in 3 of them. My old girl is a breeze & for sure does not need one. Thanks again Mallory.

Stars go up and down depending on how much you offended people with your post. The more honest you are with people that don't want to hear it, the quicker your stars disappear ;\) I personally don't care for user-based rating systems, its a popularity contest more than an effective way to monitor who gives good information. There's some clueless people with a lot of stars out there, and some good people with 1 star.

Mallory, how come you prefer the chrome?

I've had too many chrome things chip, flake and rust. I buy stainless-anything when given a choice. It'll last you a lifetime.

we walk alot in the rain, and the dogs swim, when the stainless gets wet, it turns their fur grey.

also, imo, the chrome are just easier to get on and off.

Steffanie, you've posted this in the section for moderator profiles. If you look up at the top of your screen you will see "Forum List." That will present you with all the forums on the board. This is the wrong one.

Thanks. ;\)
