Hi all,i have a five mounth old boxer who is doing great with the basic commands,but lately when i give him a command he gives me a little growl then does it.like he is pissed that im telling him to do that.i was wondering why he does this and if it could be the start of aggression.he is also now starting to nip at me again,he stopped for a couple of mounths but now he is nipping alot harder at me then before.other than that he is very friendly.almost like he is best friends with everyone he meets.any info u guys could give me would be great thanks

i started with food and praise now i just use praise.i havented started correcting him yet cause i thought he is still to young

During the time of 9 months- 1.6yr, (5 months is kinda early for this type aggression, if you guys are seen as buds, I think)dogs get a little mouthy sometimes them will growl other times it sorta a yapping as she does the command.
Since they are still puppies I don't correct them with a choke chain unless this techniques does not work.
When training and praising I try to rasie the tone of my voice to a happy chrip, patting and good boy/girling.
If they ever growl I lower my voice and use hand motions, stepping toward them, usually they feel the safest place at that point is to do the command, usually its the down. 
I'm a pretty large guy so the bluff usually works. But at about 1.6 yrs. the bluff stopped working with the male and correction were in order. I've never had to use a correction in obedeince on the female except that one time when I screwed up, when she was much younger. Be pateince until its time, then you gotta do, what you gotta do, blam (I mean level 8-10 correction)!!!
