*Permission for the crosspost given by original poster and Mr. Frawly.*

A member on a GSD forum, Patricia Humphrey, posted about a kennel that has conned her out of a $1000 puppy deposit. The kennel is Ravenwolf Shepherds. She has tried repeatedly to email the breeder to no avail, the phone number appears to be disconnected, and the site once had an address on it, but it has since been taken down. Also, the site now boasts a message that deposits are not refundable under any circumstances. She is taking it to the authorities and they're finally going to take action in a month, but if anyone has any other information or suggestions (we even tried a WHOIS lookup against the domain name but Ms. Humphrey said all the info is outdated/nonfunctional), please email her at pdhumphrey[A.T]hotmail.com, altered to prevent mailbot spamming.

Thank you!

Although he's never had a problem with the breeder, I know a guy with a Ravenwolf dog. Nervy POS, IMO, but it's their baby, so the're blind to what they have. The breeder told them that the dog's hackles were alway going up, and he was always growling at everything because it was a dominant dog .If Patricia can get the money back, so be it! DO NOT take a pup. Again, JMO!

Wow I'll definitely forward this onto her. Does the person w/ the dog happen to have recent, working information as far as getting hold of the breeder?

Based on the pics on the website, she should not be complaining if she got the sweet windbreaker and a few bottles of peroxide as a part of the deal.

I agree, I also looked at the picks, and seing maybe 5 mos old pup jumping just tells me about it a lot. I hope that the jump was done only for the picks.

Yeah that site is definitely a piece of work. Is it just me, or did I see no pages on the studs/bitches? And all the spelling errors.. gah.

Anyway, she seems to think the breeder has moved on to Tennessee (from reputable sources). I've forwarded on info I've received via PM and if there are any developments I will post here. Thanks, all!

I never trust a breeder who posts on their website that the ONLY way to contact them is through e-mail.

I've also been following Patricia's ordeal on the GSD forum.

I thought people would be interested in this: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff178323.htm

The "breeder's" website has since been taken down and she may be in a completely different state than what is listed.
