Anybody seen this?

Anyone care to comment?

GSDCA/WDA love affair aside, this seems crazy to me. How would they even tell or enforce? Why would they feel a need to? How does a member belonging to another organization pose a conflict of interest, who's interest? It ain't like these organizations are political parties, or maybe that's really all they truly are!

Politics makes some strange bedfellows!

In the end, it's the breed that looses. Luckily the dogs don't care much about fragile
egos, and just want to party.

Live long enough, ya see some some real silly stuff!

Speaking of voting...toss an incumbent today!

Dan,

Maybe it's just me, but the link doesn't work.

That is odd, it sure doesn't (from here)...

to get there, if one goes to the USA home page then looks for General Board Meeting Agenda down 3rd column, then selects link labelled:
General Board Meeting Agenda one gets to:

http://www.germanshepherddog.com/documents/2009GBMAmendments.pdf
(click above, this will work)
which some firewalls may block, but not sure why the embedded link in my first message doesn't get you there.

In anycase, what it says is weirder than it not working,
IMHO!

The full link above in this message does seem to work though.
Thanks for pointing this out!

Enjoy This Day!

I am sure you are talking about members of USA cannot be members of any other competing GSD club??

Goes too far if you ask me. I would accept that officers judges and RD cannot be (already a by law) and that a club cannot be a club in another organization I would also agree with (a change in the by laws here, or maybe just a clarification).

Near as I can tell, all this may only be about the
8 or so handler/dog teams that go to worlds.
Seems really silly to expect this to fly well here,
and sort of petty from the cheap seats of "member at large."

I gave up on UScA a long time ago. My impression has always been one of arrogance and power plays.

It does not seem like a group that plays well with others on any level.

<shrug> I just like training my dogs and having fun with them. Who needs all the bs?
