I almost hate posting this on a working dog forum, but in light of the fact that so many folks here have mulitiple pets, I hope I won't be run outta town...

I have NEVER been this pleased with the purchase of a new appliance, but wanted to let you know, if anyone is having trouble with their pet's hair and carpets...

I have a central vac that I love for the hardwood floors, but not so much for the carpets. The pet hair, specifically that of my Maine Coon cat, is absolutely "ignored". I also have an upright Royal which was expensive, is loud and also ignores the cat hair. Both vacuums do fine for a moment, but once any hair accumulates on the beater brushes, they are useless. I was literally considering shaving down my cat in an attempt to control the hair on the carpet.

Last week I purchased a Bissel Power Broom for Pet Hair and it ROCKS!!! Our bedroom carpet has not looked this great in six years, and I am not exagerating. It was around $120 at Walmart and worth every cent.

My Maine Coon loves it more than me... she still has her glorious coat!

Have you tried it on upholstery or your wood floors yet?

I have been searching for a moderately priced vacuum for a while, we don't have any carpet, just two large area rugs, but we have a lot of pet hair.

Hi Barbara,

Can you point us to the one you bought from the web site? I'm desperate for a good, cheap vac that really sucks...

pet hair.

Thanks!

Not Barbara, but we have the lift off revolution from that link and it works very very well for picking up pet hair. I love the lift off canister aspect as well. I think they have a cheaper model that does not have the lift off option.
