It's nice to be one of those lucky dog owners. The kind whose pup loves nothing more than to get in the car and go. But let's be sensible, not every traveler is perfect and some can be pretty finicky. When it comes down to it, our sensible side also knows it's best to keep Fido restrained while driving, for his safety and the safety of others.
Our Leerburg dog training leashes are the finest leather dog leashes that money can buy. Our dog leashes are made from soft Latigo leather. You will never find a leash of this quality in any pet store or dog food warehouse. The snaps on this leather leash is made from stainless steel. These snaps are generally sewn and then pop riveted to insure the highest security available. This is very important in Schutzhund and police protection training where a broken leash can cause disaster.
The bottcher harness was first used back in the 1920's and 1930's. I first saw it mentioned in Konrad Most's book on training service dogs which was written in that time period. This is a very effective harness to use to train dogs to keep their nose down on the ground. The loop of the harness goes around the dogs haunches, with the lower line runs under the belly, and is clipped to the collar on the neck. The concept of the bottcher system is that a tracking line attached under the belly of the dog and as the dog pulls, the harness actually pulls the dogs head to the ground.
