Nancy is a super dog. She is in our foster home program and lives with the boys that clean my kennel every day. She is a black and red daughter of Nickie. She has a super temperament. She is lightning fast in obedience. Nancy,is one of those dogs that when you tell her to down, she hits the deck like a rock. She is a middle sized bitch with a really nice head and super pigment. Nancy has been through obedience class. She is one of those females that I look at and think - this should have been in a competition home. But then again, she is an excellent protection dog and they pamper her like a baby. TESTIMONIAL: July 28,1999 My name is Sheryl Powers and I have a female from the Peggy/Wolf litter which was born on July 6, 1996. I haven't contacted you in a couple of years, so I figured it was about time that you received an update on Lektra. Lektra has a wonderful temperament and is very friendly, but is also always watching her environment for unusual people or things. She is what I consider a medium-drive dog. She seems to have energy when I ask for it yet does not drive me crazy by pacing around and demanding attention. She is very forgiving and very sensitive to my moods. Hardly a day goes by that she doesn't do something that makes us laugh out loud. What a stress reliever she is. Not only is she fun to live with, but she is also fun to train. She usually learns pretty quickly and lets me know when she is confused by grumbling at me. We did have a couple of sessions when she was younger about putting her teeth on my skin. In January 1999 she earned her UKC novice title with scores of 198, 196, 198 1/2 and 196 1/2. This earned her a Dog World award and made me very happy. In March we started showing in AKC trials and she earned scores from 194 (automatic finish) to 198 and placed 7 out of 8 times with one HIT at a Shepherd Specialty. Her scores once again earned a Dog World award and I entered her in the Central Pupperoni Regional at Jackson, Mississippi in May. I was so pleased to finally be able to go to a regional and was looking forward to showing everyone what a nice working Shepherd looked like. Bad luck struck early Saturday morning in the form of water-like diarrhea. She showed twice on Saturday, but lost 14 points each time. She felt awful and her heeling was indicative of it. She was still sick Sunday so I got permission to pull her from competition. I was glad that she got better in just a couple of days, but was so disappointed that we didn't have the opportunity to "show off." My goal is to bring her out in open in September or October, depending on how our heeling and fronts are looking. If all goes well, she will get her utility title next spring. She has been introduced to all of the exercises, but needs a lot of proofing before she is ready to compete. You gave me the dog that I asked for and I am very grateful to you for doing so. She is beautiful inside and out. I will update you later regarding her experiences in open. Thank you for being a conscientious breeder who tries to improve the working ability of GSDs.
