POWER STEERING YOUR DOG

Do you struggle every time you take your dog for a walk? Do you want to teach your dog how to politely walk down the street and ignore distractions? Next week, February 15, Leerburg will be launching Loose Leash Walking with Tyler Muto as a self-study course through Leerburg Online University. The information taught in this course is going to be life-changing for those of you who struggle to take your dog for a simple walk around the block. The ability to be able to take your dog for a walk without being pulled down the street is one of the most important things, that with the right information, any dog-owner can easily train.

LEERBURG'S FEATURED PRODUCT

Zisc Flying Disc

"What an amazing product! We have had this frisbee for a few months now. Zogoflex has not only stood up to them, but you can't even see any wear or tear in them! I would highly recommend any of the Zogoflex to anyone with dogs that are prone to tearing up their toys!"

Question:

I want to use a prong collar on my dog but I'm worried I'll never be able to switch him back to a flat buckle collar after I use it. Is it possible to easily make this transition?

Answer:

I would focus more on clear training for your dog with the tools you need and not worry about what may or may not be in the future. If your training is clear and the dog is engaged and has FULL understanding of what you are asking in all situations (even distractions) then you should be able to transition to not using it.

Take the time to do the training properly without worrying about some kind of time frame for getting rid of the tools.
