PROPER USE AND PLACEMENT OF A MAGNETIC BALL WITH FORREST MICKE

Forrest Micke's series of DVDs and online courses takes an in-depth approach to heeling. One of the tools he uses during this process is a magnetic ball. While a seemingly simply concept, there are a ton of intricate details in the implementation and use of magnetic balls as rewards in training. In this video, Forrest will explain how the balls work and a few different options for how you can incorporate them into your training. This video was taken directly form the Heeler's Toolbox II DVD/Online Course.

Question:

My 4 month old puppy submissively urinates whenever he gets excited. I thought with training & confidence this would go away, should I give him treats every time he doesn’t pee?

Answer:

You should ignore the peeing and set the puppy up to be successful. Submissive urination is not something you can correct away and you can't reward it away either.

At 4 months old he's still a baby, he will outgrow this if you are aware of how to manage him. don't let him run up to people and don't let people bend over him and pet him. Have EVERYONE ignore him.
