I’m doing Schutzhund training with my dogs and I wonder how often can I train my dogs without burning them out?

There really isn’t any cut and dried answer for your question. It depends on the dog, his drive level, your skill as a handler and the methods you are using.

I work my dogs almost every day in obedience, sometimes more than once and I do bitework as often as I can. My dogs thrive on this but I have friends with lower drive dogs that do better with training a couple times a week so they don’t lose interest. Part of being a dog trainer is figuring out what works well for the particular dog that you are working at the time.

If you are using lots of food, play and fun in your training the dog is going to enjoy it more and be less likely to burn out than if you are using correction based systems.
