Just for information: Socks has already much bettered since my husband and I are really consistent in the way many of you described. She still tries licking though sometimes and I will keep an eye on this and also try to find out something which is more attrictive for her. Until now the best thing is a game.
I'm also glad to know I must take in consideration the possibility of OCD, if it doesn't stop.
I have also pushed through, that she will be in the kennel during the night. She seems to like her privacy there and rarely barks. Thanks to this the repeated matrimonial "war" is over.
Thanks again to all for making me aware of the different measures I can try and the different possibilities which can cause such a behavior.
