The second of two tapes on advanced handgun manipulation. The first tape dealt with combat reloading.

In this second tape, John Farnam describes many of the obscure facts often overlooked in defensive weapons training.

All jams are stoppages, but not all stoppages are jams. The subject of stoppages is addressed in great detail. There are three types of stoppage you may face some day: (1) your gun is out of ammo, (2) it fails to feed, or (3) it fails to eject. John concentrates on the correct "Immediate Action Procedure" to address these problems in a combat situation. The procedures are also demonstrated for left handed people.

The most difficult task for a gunman to learn is not the stance or grip but the trigger pull. John explains how to let your gun shoot , rather than making it shoot. His procedure will increase your accuracy. You will learn how to draw, get a sight picture and shoot accurately in 1 to 2 1/2 seconds (depending on range).

If a suspect has a knife and is within arms reach of you - its impossible to stop him. If you are good, you have a BASE REACTION of .25 seconds. That's not enough time - (if your fast it takes .4 to .7 seconds to draw and get a sight picture). John discusses training procedures to shoot an assailant who is within the 1 to 2 meter range. This is something you need to understand to survive on the street.

This tape features several live demonstrations and parts of it were filmed during an actual police training seminar.
