Orfey's call name is Sam. He is middle sized dark black and tan dog with a big East German head. He was imported from Belgium in December 1992. Orfey's fathers bloodlines go to Sagus and Grief. I bought Orfey to go with my Natan Busecker Schloss daughters who also go to Sagus and Grief.
Gento is an outstanding dog. He is the same color as Natan. He is a hip improver that is on the same plane as Natan. He is also an extremely hard dog. He has produced many, many police dogs and top competition dogs in Germany, Belgium, and Holland. His sire (Robie) is one of the DDRs best producing stud dogs. Robie was a super hip producer, one of the best ever. He also was an extremely tough dog. In combining Robie with Sargus and Grief you ended up with an outstanding dog in Gento.
Orfey’s mother (Iwa)is a Harrow daughter and one of the best females I have ever owned. I bred Iwa to my Natan Busecker Schloss dog and have 2 females from that breeding in my program.
Iwa Harro is one of the more popular producers of working dogs in Germany today. A number of Harro sons have competed in the Bundessieger and a Harro son won the Schutzhund USA Nationals in 1994. Harro produces a tremendous amount of drive for obedience in his dogs.
Orfey is an extremely high drive dog. He carry's the self confidence and independence that is needed for police service work and the drive for obedience that is needed for high competition obedience. He is a dog that takes a fair correction but will not tolerate an unfair one. If I make a mistake in training and correct him before he understands the exercise he comes after me.
