Phoenix is a product of the Leerburg breeding program. She is a very nice bi-colored bitch that lives in a foster home along with one of our retired brood bitches (Cita). Phoenix is not dog agressive. She has excellent temperament. She has so much prey drive that she will chase a ball until she can no longer run. She will never quit.
If you want an working dog with good nerves this will be an excellent choice. The mothers line comes down through V Gildo v. Korbelbach Sch III FH IPO II and Natan Busecker Schloss Sch III. You can't get any better than this.

Dear Ed & Jeri Ann,
Just a note to let you know that Weischel's plane arrived on time and she arrived in very good condition! Her attitude upon being let out to meet everyone was extremely friendly and very alert and interested in her new surroundings. My husband and friends commented that they themselves might not be so upbeat after such a long travel day!!
I am very pleased by her wonderful temperament, she is very people oriented, she has obviously been handled and socialized very well and a good stable individual. Her introduction into our household is proceeding very well, having met three cats for the first time with open curiosity and holding her own with the other 2 house shepherds. My male has made it his goal to try and clean the tattoo ink off her ear, after getting on him alittle, he will leave her ear alone, but I will have to watch him about that! Weichsel will always be under supervision with the other dogs, but things are settling in very nicely. Her first night is probably the easiest I have had in 6 pups.
We are all were very impressed with her coat condition and good health, great bone and lovely way of going, she is as much if not more than I expected! She has taken some full mouth bites on my coat arm while falling asleep on the ride home and then on some *fleece* rags I keep around the house for the dogs, hopefully indications of her potential down the road. I will send a separate email for some training videos soon to make sure she is started right.
Thank you both for your help and good care in getting her to us safely. Ed, thank you for putting such a good puppy on the ground. I think she is the GSD I have been waiting for.
Will keep you posted on Weischel's x-rays and her training accomplishments. This next year will of course be motivational foundation laying for her serious training when she is older and exposure and socialization to everything we can get her to.
Hope all of you have a great day!

Dear Ed,
We love our Leerburg PUP!!! Call name Cassidy/Caroline is her registered name. She was born from Otis and Phoenix October 4th 1997. She is doing well in obedience training and just learned to swin with Blitz/another Leerburg.
Cassidy's temperment is great, she is very friendly to people, she does not go on the defense and is exellent with children. She is still very oral at 9 months. Her prey and ball drive is very strong. Her energy is also very high, but she is not hyperactive. She loves to work in obedience however, she still gets distracted easily. People who come in contact with her just fall in love with her because she is so affectionate (and good looking)!!!!!
As soon as we get our scanner working we will send anther picture. You ran her puppy picture on your web page when she was 4 months old.
