Military Appreciation

Military Appreciation

Leerburg is proud to support the men and women who serve. We encourage prior service military members who make dog training equipment to contact us and if we can, we will help sell your products or offer whatever advice we can.

The M1-K9 Collar is made by a prior service member of our military who contacted us and asked if we were interested in selling it. It is a quality product and we are happy to sell it.

Question: I want a dog to protect me because I'm going to become homeless. What can I do to make a dog aggressive towards people?

Ok, this might sound bad, but I'm going to become Homeless this year and I'm a Girl. So I, want to get a dog to protect me. So I want it to be aggressive toward people. I know its a liability and dangerous but I don't have $$ for protection training. Is there certain thing or thing's I can do to making him this way. And is there a test I can do on him to see if he can be aggressive? I'm think of getting a German Shepherd or American Pit bull Terrier. 6-10mnths old.

Also I would be very careful with him around friends and make sure he wears a muzzle.

Thank You

On Leerburg's 2-Handle Leather Prong Collar Leash

Just got this leash yesterday, and is it ever gorgeous! What a well-made piece of equipment. More importantly, it works! I have a high-drive rescue rott who can be a bear to walk sometimes (she's come a looong way in the year we've had her, but still has issues with dog and leash aggression, and lunging at buses and large trucks- she's a sweetheart in the house but sometimes a terror on the streets!). She's popped her prong apart going for a rabbit or cat more times than I like to think about... I always had a back-up collar on her, but clipping to both really reduced the effectiveness of her prong collar. This leash solves that problem... the power-steering is back on, and I know that she's safe if her prong comes apart. We live in the city, and the double-handle feature is great for extra control when we're approaching one of her triggers or to keep her close to me in traffic or when passing other people. Way more effective and secure than our former solution to that, a nylon leash with a knot part-way down for more traction when pulling her in close. This leash feels great in your hands- you can feel the quality (and good-bye to rope-burn from the synthetic leash we used before). I look forward to years of more enjoyable walks with our new leash. Thanks!
