Noah and Casey were rescued from the Atlantic Rottweiler Rescue Mooresville, NC . Sassy was my police working canine before retirement in December 2012. The three were like best buddies and would compete on who is the best. Noah and Casey are training in SAR and Noah just completed his CGC and continues Rally classes. As for Sassy I was unable to keep her after retirement because of her age so she continues to protect and serve the city of Winston-Salem.

109. Libby & Kimber teh GSDs
Submitted by: Deborah
The black GSD is Libby, she will be 7 in September and comes from a great kennel specializing in SAR & K9 dogs.  She is a great tracker and is always “on” and ready for the next adventure!  Libby is the slow and methodical tracker while Kimber is the rocket launcher searcher.  Of course they both are willing to take a “break” with their favorite toy – logs – and the bigger the better.  Everyone that meets Libby comments on how beautiful she is and we agree – Yes maybe we are just a tad biased!!!
The lighter GSD is Kimber and she will be 2 in September.  Her mother is Libby’s sister and her dad is a retired K-9 from Portland Police Bureau.  Besides being down right gorgeous – yes, again we are a little biased but everyone agrees with us!  – she is a tracking whiz.  We have tried everything to stump her and so far no luck.  We are going to ramp up her SAR training this year.  She definitely has the K9 attitude – she is all business but she also has a definite goofy side.
Both dogs are incredible athletes and very social.  They are our pride and joys!

110. Tyson

Submitted by: Kara L
I don’t know if this type of picture is acceptable, but as I looked through picture of our old guy Tyson I love them all! My daughter put this together the night we decided that it was time to let him move on and be pain free. I am including what both of wrote to go with it.

Saturday June 1, 2013
RIP Tyson D. Snyder. You were the best dog any one could ask for. The past 11 years have been an adventure. Going from a dog who would play tug a war to tying for first place in county fair, to every judge saying you where to fat to be a show dog but still strutting around the ring like a champion. Scaring the crap out of me and making me laugh till I cried. God knows I will miss you, but we will meet again. To the loyalist friend ever. Love, your girl!

Monday June 3, 2013
Tonight I tried to vacuum up the remnants of his fur, it sucked. He was shedding so bad the past few weeks I was amazed of how much there was from just a couple of days. It was his time to go, god I miss him. When we had Buddy, Shannon and Tyson I always had the black triangle of protection... or they all figured I would droop something good sometime and they better be close by. It was his time to go, he was well spoiled and spoiled me well also. When you kids were little I could always count on him to be by your sides. I never worried about my past trying to sneak back and hurt one of you. Tyson gave me peace of mind where that was concerned. He had a mean bark and I am sure he would have gotten in the way of anything trying to hurt any of us. I use to open the door and ask him where his boy or girl was and he was by your sides in a min. Even when Jackson would wonder outside the wireless fence Tyson would be beside him twitching. He was with his boy. He was an awesome dog. He taught me a lot about how to be a good dog guardian.
Oh our new vet is amazing!!! I could not have asked for a more caring and comforting doctor to help us end his pain. He came to our house on a Saturday afternoon after his clinic closed. When Tyson was gone I looked up and the vet was leaving. He knew we were upset and had a burial plan and left us to take care of it. No mention of payment or bill. Jackson even commented on that. Very impressive and caring.

So of course the team thinks he is the mascot.  Just imagine a 100 pound dog enjoying a snowcone like he is a 2 yr old child. If they boys throw bad pitches he barks at them as if he is coaching!  He is our protection dog and very obedient he just started his bite work so we are so excited his dad is from the Czech Republic and was 7 time Schutlz 3 champion. So he is very intellectual!!

Right - "Lumen" - Lumen d'Erouder - Belgian Laekenois 4 mos.
Lumen is the new kid in the house, I brought her here from Belgium - she flew in the cabin with me. She's a fantastic pup with lots of potential for many venues. Currently she is 6 months old doing nosework, herding, obedience, and whatever else I think of. She and Halo are great friends as you can see in the photo.

144. Greta the Weimeraner
Submitted by: Shawn H
Dog: Greta
Age:  2 years
Greta is her owner's first dog and it's been a cool experience training her.  We trained her with no food, no e-collar, and no prong collar although I certainly don't have a problem using any of those tools.  Training Greta was an exercise in learning to 'speak dog' better - and that had the side effect of being able to get Greta off-leash trained with little effort.  Dispite what "they" say about Weimies being 'bad around small animals' and 'excitable' Greta responded to her training by becoming very calm, and very obedient around cattle, cats, other dogs, strangers, etc.  So much for what "they" say ...
It was your DVDs on pack structure and leadership that I turned to most often when I needed to figure something out ... thanks!

145. Abby the GSD

Submitted by: Helga H
Sable GSD, Abby
Abby came to us through the NZ Police puppy fostering programme. She is working blood line and has amazing prey drive and high energy. Just the right traits for a police dog. We, the foster home, are doing all the basic socialising, tug of war and ball training until she is called into "the real training" and will then join the force.
In the first photo she is 12 weeks old and staring into the eyes of a bumble bee, which is hovering right in front of her:) , in the second photo roughly 16 weeks doing her best "monster-face" ever!

146. Marley
Submitted by: Tanja H
Marley, GSD, 4 years old.
We adopted Marley in January 2013, so weren’t too sure what to expect. Turns out he is a gentle, well behaved and loving dog, who hasn’t had a lot of play time in his life. He has just learned how to retrieve a ball and now that’s all he wants to do. In the meantime he’s totally focussed and knows exactly when it’s training time. The orange ball is his favourite, it floats in the water.

148. Sophia & Ulrich

Submitted by: Elizabeth
Photo 1:
Here is a picture of My Sophia @ 9 months old.  She is a very sweet and protective pup.  She LOVES to play tug and has a very high prey drive for rabbit :D  She is a sassy girl who loves to talk and talk back.  She is an obedient pup except when it comes to calling her in from the outside.  She would not always come for me so I would “call” for my son Eoin to call her in.  All he had to do was call here name from anywhere in side and she would come running.  Because of this routine when I call “Sophie come!” and she hesitates, I now call the name “Eoin” and she darts right in…haha.  Sophie is my first GSD and she has been a pleasure to train and love. This is my FAVORITE picture of her thus far :)  I hope you like it!
Photo 2: This a picture of my boy Ulrich at 10 months.  He is A stunning boy! He has a zest for life and is always happy happy.  He has a very high ball drive and could fetch ALL day long.  He jumps wildly into the air to catch his balls and darts as fast as lightnening while he does so.  He loves to herd his 3 boys however they are not always so happy for it.   He prances like a graceful gazel as he inspects his boundries and loves to chase the birds.  He is very loyal and devoted to me.  He follows me everywhere and listens well.  He has a beautiful personality and a quirky way about him.  I just adore this boy!

155. Tucker the Weimaraner / Doberman Mix
Submitted by: Terence
Dog's name: Sir Charles Tucker the Third or Tucker for short.
Age: 1.5 Years
Tucker is a Weimaraner/Doberman mix, He was abandoned near the local dog shelter in town by a hunter that did no training with him and expected him to hunt, then beat him when he didn't. After working with him for 6 months now, he still has trust issues and is easily spooked, but he can reliably run off leash and loves to cuddle in bed at night.
He is slowly learning that he won't be hit anymore. Those eyes of his tell his story.

156. Hank & Bella

Submitted by: Andy N
This is Hank and Bella.  They are my niece’s dogs and they came to stay with me for a week while they were out of town.  They were both rescue dogs that no one wanted because of a birth defect.  My niece and her husband adopted them and provide them with a great home with lots of love.  Bella only has 3 legs and Hank has a paw that looks like it is just hanging there.  All is good with both and lead a healthy life.  Bella was minding her own business on the chair and as you can see Hank made himself comfortable.  This picture  is an easy “caption this” photo.

158. Gator the Belgian Malinois
Submitted by: Janelle G
My dog's name is Gator. He is a one year old Belgian Malinois and is definitely a character. Naturally being a puppy and a Malinois he is very very destructive (he ate through my wall) ! But aside from all the mayhem he is the sweetest and most protective dog alive. He loves to play ball and chew on my socks. However his favorite things is bite work ! He's been training since he was just 6 months old.... maybe that's why he loves to chew !

Attached you'll find two pictures of gator the first is him on the sofa. I call that move his "I cant get in trouble because technically I'm not on the sofa". The second picture is one of him and his mom Jade (she's 4 and a retired K-9)

159. Perry the Wheaten Terrier & Tommy the Carolina Dog Mix

Submitted by: Chris B
Dog's name: Perry (the white Wheaten Terrier), Tommy (the brown Carolina Dog mix)
Age: 5
Perry works hard and sleeps hard. This spunky terrier guards the house against noises no one else can hear. Once the offensive sound is put on notice, Perry's back to some hard sleeping. The only thing he likes more than guarding is play time with his best friend Tommy, the Laurel to his Hardy.

160. Gator the Belgian Malinois
Submitted by: Gus R
I wanted to show you some pictures of my dog Gator that I share with my girlfriend. He is a one year old Belgian Malinois. Gator has always been a hyperactive puppy and he definitely fits the description of a Malinois. He is currently in training as a personal guard dog and loves to do bite work. But aside from all the serious training he's like every other dog and loves to play. His favorite toy being the tire of an old truck! Believe it or not he carries that thing everywhere he goes.
The first picture is of gator when he was just 7 months old. He wasn't allowed to sleep on the sofa so he stole a pillow.
The second picture is him now at the age of 1 sleeping all discombobulated as usual ! (He managed to get on the sofa for this one)!

161. Hicks & Ripley

Submitted by: Linda B
Hicks (left in the photo, orange collar) is a male 50% Boxer, 50% Black Dog and he was 6 months old when this photo was taken.  At 12 weeks, Hicks came down with parvovirus.  You would never know it - he is 70 lbs now and a happy, healthy, obedient dog.
Ripley (right in the photo, pink collar) is a female 50% Boxer, 50% Black Dog and she was 6 months old when this photo was taken.  She, too, is a happy, healthy, fairly obedient dog.  Despite being only 57 lbs, she can best Hicks any day of the week.

162. Gator
Submitted by: Milly G
I'm entering our dog Gator and he is a one year old Belgian Malinois. He his super active and very sweet. We've used your products multiple times and it's really helped in all his training ! We wanted him to follow in his moms footsteps (she is a retired K-9) so we started his training at the 6 months. He is super accident prone and destructive but he'll win your heart over time with his adorable child like charm ! He absolutely loves the water and his favorite toy is an old tire.

167. Honey
Submitted by: Melinda S
Dog's Name: Honey
Age: 4
Honey was rescued from a shelter in Lexington, Kentucky. Since then she has been a family dog and a couch potato. She and I are in the local 4-H dog club which has been a lot of fun. She will do anything for food! Sometimes I think she could be converted into a vegitarian because she loves strawberries, carrots, avacado, celery and any thing else. She has grown into a beautiful dog over the years and I would love to show people that.

The first photo is of our group of dogs: My dogs' names (and ages) are left to right: Marco(7), Super(1.5), Bianka(1.5), Emma(1.5) and Tesla(5). These dogs are part of our family, and get along very well together, especially on a hot, summer day--so posing for me was easy.
The second photo is of Marco with one of his pups, "Super" (18 days old), taking a break. Super is in the group photo, too.

My dog's name is Noah, he is a 6 year old male australian shepherd. Also in one of the pictures is my parents boxer, Gracie, who is about 5 years old.

My 5yr old Czech Wolfdog Luna, enjoys doing many thing but agility is by far her most favorite
My 18 month old Malinois Brava and 7yr old German Shepherd Jasmine, Jasmine has done Schutzhund, Search & Rescue, Agility, Rally, Tracking, Triebbel and obedience. She is a dog that truly loves to work and doesn't let a little thing like cataracts bring her down or let it interfere with her job, she is now retired due to the cataracts causing partial blindness but you'd never know it by watching her work and play. Brava is my working dog in training, she's been doing Schutzhund, French Ring, agility and Explosive detection and like most Mals loves to work. I expect great things from her in our future together and I'm excited to enter her in her first trial very soon.

Favorite snack Orijen’s Alberta Wild Boar treats; Bison runs a close second. Not surprisingly, Klaus is extremely bright and has already become the great pal I knew he would be when I brought him home at 5 months.

194. Diz the Malinois
Submitted by: Brett K
This is my dog Diz (mal).  One is a black and white of Diz running, the second is Diz sniffing her first echidna, the echidna just had to wriggle a bit and Diz would get spiked in the nose, funny to watch. Diz is a 2 and a bit year old female Mal, and one awesome dog.  Diz and I live in Canberra, Australia. I have had Diz since she was 8 weeks old and she has been with me 24/7 since the day I got her (bar the 10hrs / 2 visits, to the vet).  If you can't take a dog there I don't go there :)  I'm a horticulturist and take Diz with me to work, she makes work a blast.

196. Black Wolf's Midnight Warrior

Submitted by: Lori T
This is Black Wolf's Midnight Warrior.  He'll be nine in October and I've had him since he was six weeks old.  He's definition of "best dog ever" and the kind of ideal dog anyone with a brain would be proud to have.  He's the most stable in temperament canine I've ever had the pleasure to share company with and his instincts are amazing.  He's calm and cool with my grandchildren, he can be exposed to anyone new without a hint of nervousness or anxiety, he's comfortable in new situations and always brave and fearless without being aggressive.  I would swear he understands the english language.  One of my proudest moments was when a certified therapy dog trainer told me what an awesome, good dog Warrior is and said "I would be glad to take him home with me".  He's beautiful, smart and very worthy a gracing the pages of any calendar or catalog.
