I have posted some videos of my puppy interacting with my mom’s puppy, would you be willing to view the footage and tell me what you think?

Full Question:
Hello,

I recently used your videos to learn how to train my pit bull mix puppy (my first puppy). We adopted him from the shelter at 6 months old; he is 9 months old now. The videos were extremely helpful. My mom also has a puppy (going on a year old), and we have met 2 times, a month apart, to introduce the dogs to one another. I watched carefully the segment you showed on dog interaction hoping I could determine any warning signs ahead of time, especially since my dog is quickly outgrowing hers. So far I think the interaction has been okay, but I was uncertain about this afternoon. Would you be willing to view the morning and afternoon footage and let me know what you think? Our pit bull mix will accompany us on visits home, so it would be helpful for them to get along, but I don't want to create a dangerous situation. There are 3 videos: 2 am & 1pm. Thanks!
Cindy
Cindy Cindy's Answer:
Hi Paula,

I’m sorry but due to the volume of mail I receive I don’t have time to do video consults.

I will say that I don’t allow my puppies to play with other puppies or dogs unless they have outstanding obedience and recalls. (i.e. I can call them away from the other puppy with one command, every time) Very few puppies can do this at a young age, and I don’t like to set my dogs up to ignore me or to fail.

It would be much better to simply walk the puppies together on leashes or have a short training session with your respective puppies while they are somewhat near each other, on leash.

Once they have good obedience and you can control them with your voice, then you could allow some off leash time and see how it goes.

I’m not a fan of introducing dogs in the manner in which you have done, especially with a big size difference.
