Learning to manipulate your dog's rear by way of the head can be a valuable skill; one worth the time spent mastering it. By teaching the dog to be manipulated in this fashion, we can very subtly, precisely, and effectively control our dog's body position with even the slightest angulation of the hand or wrist. This work benefits us not only in our foundation heeling work, but many other areas of obedience training. We can manipulate fronts, positions, and accomplish trick training by way of this work as well.
