This video was taken directly out of our online course, Leash Reactivity with Tyler Muto.
In this video Tyler Muto is going to explain Emotional Thresholds in dog behavior and training.
Think of the emotional threshold as the line in the sand that separated the version of your dog that is calm cool and collected, and the version of your dog that is reactive.
In most cases, as dog approach threshold, they begin to focus on the trigger, but their body is still relatively relaxed (mouth open, tail low and relaxed etc.).
If your dog starts tensing up, tightening their mouth, and stiffening their tail, then they are probably going over threshold.
