Question
We are dog sitting a young intact female pit bull and she is very playful. When the other dogs don’t want to play and snap at her she attacks them. Do you have any advice?
Answer
This type of dog should not be allowed to interact with other dogs in this way. Just like some people are pushy and obnoxious, so are some dogs (I own a dog like this). My dog is perfectly fine around dogs in a controlled
setting and shows no aggression but she becomes overly pushy and if the other dogs give her a fair warning she overreacts.
