Question
Do you think I can raise a puppy to be able to stay alone during my 8 or 9 hour work day by the time he is 2 years old? Or should I get a dog sitter?
Answer
The answer to your questions are "it depends" :)
Like many things in dog training and ownership, the personality and temperament of the dog you get along with the time and training you invest will make a big difference. No two dogs are exactly alike so
I think you should make a plan but also have a backup plan in case your original plan isn't working out as you hoped.
I think that by 2 years of age most dogs can be home while their owners work and if not a pet sitter or dog walker is a good option.
