Is a micro prong the right choice for our 40-pound dog?
Answer
I'd suggest the small link (2.25 mm) prong. You would want to get some extra links to add if her neck is 15.5 inches. It's always a good idea to have an extra link or two on hand in the case one of them bends over time
from normal use (putting on and taking off of collar)
This is the size of prong I use on most of my own dogs, from my 15 pound terrier to my 60 lb Malinois.
