Product Description

The Puller Ring is a light, soft, and odorless fitness toy perfect for playing and training with your dog. This innovative toy is perfect for pulling but can be put to its full potential when thrown. The Puller Ring rolls on its side like a wheel, resulting in greater distance traveled (depending on terrain) while increasing your dog's motivation to go after it.

Puller Ring Exercises

There are a variety of exercises you can use with the innovative Puller Ring. Here are some of our favorite exercises that you can use as well with the Puller Ring:

Running Exercise

This is a popular method in which you use two Puller Rings. This exercise is excellent for training the retrieve and for developing speed and agility.

  1. Ideally, you will stand in the middle of a field. Throw one Puller Ring in the LEFT direction. It is important you don't throw it like a frisbee. Throw it so that it rolls on the side like a wheel. Have your dog run to retrieve this Puller Ring.
  2. As your dog makes their way back to you, throw the second Puller Ring in the RIGHT direction. This should be in the same direction your dog is running. The goal here is to increase your dog's motivation. They will drop their current Puller Ring and continue running an even longer distance to retrieve the second Puller Ring you just threw.
  3. You can then take the Puller Ring your dog dropped and throw it in the other direction when they come back. Continuously exercising your dog back and forth is an excellent way to spend your dog's energy. Try to get as many retrievals as you can within 90 seconds.

Jumping Exercise

This method will also require two Puller Rings. Your goal here is to rotate “offering” each ring so that your dog can continuously jump up in an effort to grab the offered Puller Ring. We recommend this activity for dogs 1 year or older.

  1. Hold a Puller Ring in each hand.
  2. Offer up one Puller Ring by moving it toward your dog. (The other Puller Ring should be behind your back.) Once your dog focuses on that Puller Ring, lure it away and further up so that your dog must jump to catch the ring.
  3. Once the Puller Ring you've offered has been captured, you can then offer the other Puller Ring in the same luring fashion.
  4. Your goal here is to get as many jumps as possible within 90 seconds. A great way to start is with a scoring system. If your dog jumps up with only 2 paws off the ground (half-jump), that's 1 point. If they jump up with all 4 paws off the ground, that's 2 points.

NOT A CHEW TOY

No toy is 100% indestructible. It is unrealistic to expect that from any toy. The toys that we sell at Leerburg are the best quality and most durable that we have found. Always supervise your dog when playing with toys. Periodically inspect all toys for damage. Do not allow your dog to continue to play with a damaged or broken toy.

PULLER rings are not chew toys and should never be left with dogs alone. When rings are used correctly, they last for a very long time. When they are left unattended with a dog they may only last minutes.

Awesome. For Constant supervision though. I’ve had mine for months, a friend said she wasn’t watching and her dog destroyed hers in no time.
