The 3/8" Puppy Leash with Brass Snap and Handle is a lightweight leather leash designed for puppies and small breeds. Locally handmade by the Amish with genuine latigo leather and quality brass hardware, this leash will last you a long time. Our latigo leather goes through a complex process that makes it supple and flexible the day it arrives. You can buy a cheaper leash at any story in your town, but you will NEVER buy a better quality leash anywhere than here.

Important: Due to shortages on brass hardware, we may send a puppy leash with stainless steel hardware instead. Stainless steel has the appearance of silver whereas Brass has the appearance of gold. If you are particular about Stainless Steel or Brass hardware, please call us before ordering to see what we have available.

This leather collar is 3/8" wide and recommended to use with puppies and small dogs.

Need a Different Size?

Below are the different leash widths we offer. From top to bottom, we have the 3/8" wide (for puppies and small dogs), 1/2" wide, and 3/4" wide.

Note that the 3/8" leash isn't riveted. This leash has a smaller width than our other leashes. We deemed it best not to rivet the leash as it would only weaken the leather.

This leash is also available without a handle.

Made in the USA

The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand-picked for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. There are many types of Latigo leather that are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg's latigo leather made in North America.

Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. This family has been making all of our leather products for the past 20 years.

These 5 Amish craftsmen hand-cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.
