Andre, "At the end of the day, Robert, my point is that I think it's great if someone wants to prance behind a dog around a ring. It's not for me, but there is nothing wrong with it. If the owner of that dog wants to compete with it, why shouldn't he? Because he won't be Sieger? Please..."
Then you should have said that. My point is this, if a person posts a direct question, try not to give an inaccurate answer. The dog is probably not show quality, probably won't get them far in the ring. People come to the board looking for good information. If they are looking to purchase that dog, it's a pretty vital question.
He didn't ask if it's fun to show dogs, he asked if that dog is show quality.
It's nothing personal, I'm sorry if it comes across that way.
We have two GSD's that are West German show lines-Rikkor von Bad-Boll is grand-sire. The female is 3yrs. and our male is 4months. The female can work(real work, herding goats, sheep,Kids!)all day long. She is also a show-stopper with great looks.(no roach in back. As far as protection goes I would bet my life on her! No fear here!
"He has a Steep croup and a break in the top line. "
I think this means he has a roach back to some degree, and the break in the top line is the indentation just above his shoulders (kinda like an L shape) it's supposed to be a smooth line all the way down, with even possibley a slight raise (slight) just above the shoulders.
