It is supposed to be 94 and humid here in PA today. Tomorrow is Dom's birthday and I really wanted to do something fun but if its gonna be a repeat performance of the weather today we will probably just stay inside and stuff ourselves with cake! Yuck!
98 & humid already here today & it's not even noon yet. At least there is a good breeze, that helps a little bit. My dogs sure are tired of just going out to pee & run around for only a short time & then having to come back in. They are used to being out for at least 6 or more hours a day! I hope this heatwave ends soon. :-(
Oi! Ladies, I feel your pain. We hit 102 today, but thankfully, the humidity is not AS bad as we are known to have. No playing today - we walked outside a few times, looked at each other and then all said "nah... no thanks" and came back inside. I did get the mail, but admit to not collecting the hens' eggs. After changing all their waterers and giving them all watermelon to cool off with, I said "to HECK with the eggs!" (Maybe they will be hardboiled in the AM!)

Chickens like watermelon?! Cool!
Humidity is charging back today, as I'm sure you know
I'm just hoping that all this crap weather gets out of its system by early August, when Geyser comes here
When its almost 80 degrees at 7 in the morning, I'm not looking forward to the rest of the day. Seems like we got the worst winter and worst summer back to back! The chickens have all dug little holes and are laying in them panting. The rabbits are hogging the chicken coop because there is a fan inside. Had to line the top of their run with plywood to make more shade for them. I feel so bad for them. They've had to endure really rough seasons back to back.
Never tried giving them watermelon. I suppose the rabbits would probably just steal it and then get explosive diarrhea. Maybe not a good idea for me. Ha!
The heat up here in WI has not been to bad, we have had a couple hot ones.
But, it has been a damp, wet spring and summer and you cant walk outside with out losing two pints of blood from mosquitoes almost instantly.
It had made working the dogs and horses "interesting".
