I'm looking for an easy on, adjustable Fly Ball harness with a handle. What would you suggest?

Full Question:
Hi Cindy,

I'm looking for an easy on, adjustable Fly Ball harness with a handle. The one I saw yesterday on a dog was very nice. The handle was leather. Said it came from your company. I have a small standard poodle.

Thank you.

Hi,

Cindy forwarded me your question about the flyball harness with handle. I am not sure which harness you are referring to that has a leather handle. The only harnesses that we have with leather handles are the leather harnesses, which would be probably too heavy and bulky to use in flyball.

We have several harnesses that will work for flyball:

The Flyball Harness: I have used this one for flyball, but the handle does tend to slide to the side when the dog races.

The DT All Weather Harness - which again may be too bulky for flyball but has a nice handle: I’ve seen a German Shepherd on another team race with one of these on.

The Comfort-Flex Harness: I recently got one of these, but have not used it in a race yet. It’s very light, but I think it might move around when the dog races and turns at the box.

The Tru-Fit Smart Harness: A member of our flyball team uses this as a seat belt harness and also uses it for her Cocker in races.

And the Walk-eez Harness: A member of our flyball team has one of these and she made a handle for it herself and attached it. It works great for flyball. I use it for my Malinois but use the top of the shoulder straps to hold the dog back. My dog doesn’t lunge, so it works well for us. It does not appear to bind or move around on the dog when she’s racing.
