The simple obstructions make dogs slow down to eat. This dog food bowl is designed with a rubberized base to prevent slippage while your pet is eating.

Measurements

Medium: 8" diameter and 2" deep

Large: 10" diameter and 3" deep

The amount of dry food these bowls will hold is a "rough measurement" and varies based on kibble size. We used a smaller pieced kibble, measuring up to the dividers:

Medium holds about 2 cups.

Large holds about 3 1/2 cups.

This is a great bowl. Totally slows down a dog that can consume a bowl of food in less that 2 minutes and is easy to clean. It can travel a bit, so may need to find something to push it up against to stay in place. For a Golden Retriever that inhales food, this has resolved the problems of a dog eating way too fast.

I love, love, love these bowls. I have a large Akita/GSD mix that wolfs his food so fast he would get the hiccups every time he ate. A friend of mine let me try one of her skid stop feed bowl and problem solved. It still moves around a bit on hardwood floors, but I just put it in a corner or let him chase it around a bit (It doesn't move that much). I am now buying another one for my other Akita. I would highly recommend this product.
