I noticed the "Leerburg" stamp on my leash, do you know if anyone can do that with my dog's name? Or do you have any suggestions on how I can brand the leash myself? Also, are they oiled/waterproofed?

Full Question:
Hi,

Random question for you... I just ordered a 1/2 6ft black leather leash... this is my second one and I love it! The first one I bought I had for years and I take my dog to a daycare and they think they mixed it up with someone else's leash... anyway, long story short it became missing. They offered to replace it with one from petsmart but of course I'm a leash snob after using yours and wanted a leerburg leash specifically. They gladly reimbursed me for it since they lost mine. I bet someone just liked it so much they took it! I guess that should say something for how nice the product is..lol

I noticed the "Leerburg" stamp on mine, do you know if anyone can do that with my dog's name? Or do you have any suggestions on how I can brand my leash with my last name or something like that. I'd hate to lose it again... while they are soft right out of the package they do get better with age and I loved how my old one felt.

I also forgot... are they oiled/waterproofed? I don't remember if I ever had to condition mine or not but I'd like it to last many years so just wondering. Thanks!
Cindy
Cindy Cindy's Answer:
We had to purchase a custom made leather stamp to use on each of the leather leashes, harnesses, and collars. I do not know of any other way to accomplish this. I suppose you could brand them, but I am not familiar with that process.

They are tanned, but not oiled or waterproofed. You are welcome to use leather protectant or leather conditioner on the leash.
