When it comes to K9 detection training, it can be dangerous and hazardous for dog trainers to handle volatile material such as Fentanyl and many explosives. Leerburg has worked with Getxent's patented technology to create our K9 Odor Training Kit. The kit has been designed by Ed Frawley to take the risk of working with these dangerous agents our dogs are expected to locate.

The Getxent tube is an innovative polymer tube that can absorb and emit odors. It can also simulate a large quantity of your target scent. To absorb odors, simply place the target sample and the Getxent tube in an airtight container for a select amount of time. The chart below is an example that shows the duration required to simulate large quantities based on exposure to 1kg of target sample in an airtight container.

The above chart is merely an example. If you want to simulate upwards to a ton of a target odor (e.g. for detecting operational amounts of explosives), you could use multiple Getxent tubes or use a larger target sample to shorten the odor absorption time.

Impregnated Tube vs. Non-impregnated Tube

In the photo above, the larger tube to the left is after impregnation. The tube gets larger in size when it absorbs odor molecules. The smaller tube is the original size before absorbing any odor.
