Product Description
This is a premium crate with full tread-brite construction through out. It is a beautiful thing to behold. This is a substantial piece of equipment, and is TIG welded. This crate has extra protective bar to the outside of this crate. This not only makes the crates airline approved, but also adds security and strength.
This crate is recommended for those buying a crate for dogs with high anxiety levels. The thickness of this crate is 1/8", which is double the thickness of some of the other aluminum crates. If you dog has a history of being destructive towards other heavy-duty crates, this crate would be an ideal choice over the 1/16" thick crates.
The crate is made from 1/8” thick tread-brite finish aluminum, which is extremely thick for crate construction. All sides of the crate have good ventilation. You can see the dog from all four sides of this crate. Both side panels have two recessed handles which are a great feature. When the handles are not in use they fold down to be flush with the sides of the kennel. It has a laser cut, double reinforced locking door with stainless steel locking latch. This latch is an upscale recessed stainless steel keyed latch. Stainless is the only was to go with any latch as they will not corrode or rust. The crate can be locked or unlocked without loosing the function of the door latch.
The crate comes fully assembled.

Perks of aluminum materials and TIG welded
Aluminum for dog crates and kennels is the perfect material because it is lightweight, strong, does not rust. Best of all does not absorb the suns heat! All of the crates we offer are aluminum welded by the TIG welding process. TIG welding is a very difficult welding to do and is the welding process that we use because it is the strongest aluminum weld. TIG welding is also known as GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding). TIG welding is a high quality welding process that is used when a precision welding process is required. To do TIG welding it requires a special TIG welding machine. Many welders can weld steel but aluminum welding takes many years of experience to master. These crates are constructed by a master welder with 28 years experience.
Suggested Linings
To line the floor of the crates here at Leerburg Kennels, we use thick rubber mats cut to the size of the crates. They provide a softer surface for the dogs to lay on, and the dogs don't chew on them.
If you are ordering a Rubber Kennel Mat to be placed inside of a crate, please keep in mind that the kennel mat must be cut to the exact specifications of the internal measurement of the crate. For example, a 36x24 Full Ventilation Aluminum crate will use a 34x22 kennel mat due to the inside measurement of the crate.

Write a ReviewThe only negative is that it is extremely heavy, and I am not able to move it from home to vehicle. That isn't a huge deal for me since the dog is only crated in a vehicle waiting on his turn for training so it's not for very long.
My dog and my house are safe while I am away, and I should have purchased this many years ago. Wonderful product.
Leerburg was very helpful on the phone and very responsive to getting back with me on questions. They also had some suggestions of materials to read on separation anxiety which were free on their website. I plan to check out more of their products. I am very happy with this company.
One really cool thing about this crate is that there is a piece covering the lock when you close the door so he can't pick the lock (seriously, with him you never know). I was wondering about this before I bought it and was happy to see the construction of this when it arrived.
As for delivery, when they tell you it will take 2 weeks, believe me it will. We only live a state over and the crate shipped out fast and was 40 miles from my house for over a week at the trucking company docks. I had called the delivery company several times to see if we could schedule an appointment but they never called me back. Eventually, at the final day of the 2 weeks, I got a call from the delivery driver. He said he would be at my house soon. Thank goodness he agreed to leave it in my garage without signature.
The only item I wish was different was that you only get one key with the crate. I will have more made but until I get that done, I have to be very careful of where I place the key.
