It's done the job. I've got that one for biking the trails. The straps loosen up worse and worse every single time I use it (maybe 10 times) and I've had it two months. Honestly I'm going to be re-tooling it with some heavy duty velcro and extra padding because it's just not working for us. It was enough of a steal with a markdown that it's worthwhile to try to fix it when I don't use it frequently but I'm not sure it would stand up well to hard use. Zephyr likes it well enough or she doesn't seem uncomfortable in it, but I don't like it enough to recommend it. I like the Ruffwear packs a lot but I've heard mixed reviews particularly in the sliding straps issue. If it's really for every day you might as well go for the best fitting and best quality off the bat. Custom would be the way to go. "I can't read this. It has silent E's."

You can take the bags off and use it as a harness.
