ive got two questions and im gonna go ahead and appologise now; i know they have both been disgussed in length several other places on this site, but all i want is people to say a clear cut answer. i dont need a lot of reasons, just brand preferences.
1.)Solid Gold vs Innova
2.)Dogtra 1100NC vs 1200NC
(differences and recommendations please)
if you have a simple answer to these questions please for the love of god help me out.
The only difference between the 1200NC and the 1100 is that the transmitter is waterproof and not just water resistant. For waterfowl hunters or people who work in very watery environments use the 1200. I have used the 1100 since it first came out (New Mexico has some H2O but it isn't a concern for a police dog handler generally) and have recommended it to a bunch of departments who are using them w/ no negative statements from those that bought them.

Hello:
I have used solid gold for a few years with great results, unfortunately my distributor won't be carrying it after 01/03. I like the millenium blend (blue bag) and the holistic blend (green bag).
Both Solid Gold and Innova are good foods.
I was told by my vet that if you switch to Innova
be very careful and switch VERY slow. It is an
Extremely rich food, gives numerous dogs gastric
upset and intestional problems if not properly
introduced.
I sware by Solid Gold!!! AWESOME FOOD!! My dogs
will pick it out of any other food and only eat
that if I mix it with other food.
My vet had me put my female GSD on a prescription
Science Diet food after her spay, she had the
drizzles the whole time! And it was supposed to be
the blandest food around! She was on antibiotics
and the whole show.
Long story short, 1 meal of solid gold and she
was back to normal. My vet could not believe it!!
It's a little on the spendy side but worth it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
thanks for your comments guys; im still a little unclear about the 1100/1200NC models and i did read the descriptions.. doesnt seem so clear to me. neway i need to save money if i can is 1100 any different than 1200 other than water resistance? whate else?
Kevin already addressed this question, but you must have missed it. The only difference is in the water resistance/waterproof TRANSMITTER. Meaning as long as you don't make a habit of dropping the transmitter into water the 1100 should suit your needs just fine.
