I think there are probably more showlines than working lines on pedigreedatabase and the forum is strongly oriented towards showline folks. Just EURO lines.
BArbara.. I kow the rutine of Zvv1-3 I am from Slovakia and believe me the only reason you do not see a lot of the nicer Czech dogs in IPO is because it is BORING!!
I just wanted to point out that Show dogs Do have ZVVat least ONE because it is required for breeding and so on.. A lot of Show dogs are thrown in to workingline here and there to produce nicer looking dog.. they do not look anything like Show dogs you know.. They are Rich Sable, Black or sometimes Black & Tan but not as much anymore..
Just wanted to let you knov that ZVV title does not guarantee working dog, just like Shutzhund title doesnt.. that is all.I do not want to argue about that.
Can you imagine how disappointed I am in the whole Shutzhund rutine.. It is Boring.. !!! After zvv.. and disappointing, but still training for zvv..
Martina I did mean to ruffle your feathers just I have not seen it in the layout. But that would make sense sice German dogs have to have a show and working title (in Germany - from what I read ) to be able to breed. I have Czech lines and never thought they were ugly but just the opposite. My male (Hanibal) and female (Clarice) are very striking!!! I have not see one that was ugly but have seen some that looked like they were crossed with donkey (big ears) lol
If the dog is black and red, dumb as a post, and lacking in drive. . .it's a showline dog.
LOL
Oi Van Camp! I'll have my showline bite a hole in your a$$ <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Black & Red? Yes!
Dumb as a post? NOPE!
Lacking in Drive? Maybe just a little <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
John
p.s. There is a HUGE difference between Working and Show lines, even I can tell the difference on a meeting with them.
