Took me awhile but I found the second litter that was being mentioned. Anyway, the female has an intersting pedigree coming from Blek Egidius. Blek definetly produces some aggression. Anyway, though I stand by my earlier assessment beginners look elsewhere to start.
I recently purchased a puppy from jinopo. I have a female out of Ossi and Dargo she is a super dog. The thing is that as with Gordon I do not have a lot of expierence with them and would like some advise about raising her,I would like to raise her the right way with out losing any drives. If it helps I would like to do schutzhund with her, any advise would be great Thank You
Socialize the heck out of her, and don't worry about defense. . .build everything in prey, she should have plenty of defense and aggression as she matures.
If Grim's other son's and grandsons/granddaughters give us any indication of the inherited traits. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Tom PS is a super producer.
We have a 11 month Tom PS daughter going back to Art z Lipin, Grim PS and Omar Bz. Extreme prey drive, high aggression and very nice looking. Big bone and head.
There is also a Tom PS son in Australia called Dark Gaja-Nova. He is an awesome looking dog with massive bone and head. Extreme prey drive and handler hard. Bernhard Flinks worked him not long ago and said he had one of the hardest bites. After the first bite he thought he had accidently picked up the puppy sleeve by mistake. Good look on his face when he realised he had a gappay trial arm on.
His comment on Dark was that if he had this dog and 12 months they would be in the BSP. He would own this dog. Oh yeah and hes a Titus grandson.
Iv'e got some video footage of Tom working with the police in Czech and he is a big, hard and serious dog. I'm tempted to think about a 2-2 breeding on Tom one day.
I think he is a normal producer. From the stats I've seen he is similar to Grim PS. I have a slovakian hip cd similar to the sv hd one and he has had 17 pups xrayed and 10 were A and 7 were B. No C's or lower. I also saw some Czech stats and he was about 60- 65% A from memory. One thing I was told is that he has never thrown a long coat.
Chris said **he has had 17 pups xrayed and 10 were A and 7 were B. No C's or lower**
Out of those numbers there was total of 31 progeny listed and 17 were either "a" or "b", rest had no hip rating. From Czech the latest I have was publishes in April 2003, Tom had total of 44 x-rayed, 17 were "negative", 5 grade 1, 13 grade 2, 8 grade 3 and 1 grade 4.
In my database, I have 94 progeny for Tom, out of the 94, 35 is 0/0 (a). I don't have time right now to count the rest but will later and post it.
