This bite bar is small enough and soft enough for younger, green dogs but also strong enough material to handle a full bite from an older dog. It is 17" long and 9" wide. The bite bar has an attached 64" long nylon line with a snap at one end. The inside of the bite bar is lined with 1/8" thick heavy cotton fleece. The handles on the are suede covered. All of the stitching is reinforced. The synthetic linen is the same material that our body bite suits are made of. Some people prefer a synthetic bite bar to a jute bite bar because they feel it is easier on their dogs teeth.

Bite bars are not chew toys
Bite bars are not chew toys and should never be left with dogs alone. When bite bars are used correctly, they last for a very long time. When they are left unattended with a dog they may only last minutes.
USE ONLY AS DIRECTED
No toy is 100% indestructible. It is unrealistic to expect that from any product. The products that we sell at Leerburg are the best quality and most durable that we have found. Always supervise your dog when using our products, and periodically inspect for damage. Do not allow your dog to continue to use a damaged or broken toy. This product is designed to be used under direct supervision with a dog. They are not designed nor should they be used with a “SPRING POLE”.
This was my fist product that I ordered from Leerburg. I was very happy with the quality of the bite bar. My 1 year old Pit bull terrier went after it right away. I use it to play tug with him and target biting. Its ambidextrous and can be used as a good intro in to a harder bite sleeve. The leash that came with it I did not think was very useful. All in all it's a great product and find it useful in his training.

My young Malinois prefers this over the Jr. Model . The foam covered handles do not last as the foam is not glued down to the wood ,they fell apart first use then I cut off the foam not as comfortable but safer as the foam would spin when the dog grips . Overall holding up so far linen self heals as it is not a super tight weave .

just received mine I wouldn't suggest using this with anything other then a puppy or younger dog. My two year old malinois is almost to much for the bite bar and he is new to bite work.
