Product Description

The 2 Handle Synthetic Bite Bar is made of the same material used in bite suits. This bite bar is small and soft enough for younger dogs but also durable enough to handle a full bite from an older dog. The inside of the bite bar is lined with 1/8" thick heavy cotton fleece. The handles are covered with suede and every stitch in this bite bar is reinforced. Compared to a jute bite bar, synthetic bite bars are much easier on your dog's teeth.

This bite bar is 17" long and 9" wide. It comes with a 64" nylon line.

Bite Bars Are Not Chew Toys

This is a photo of a tug that was left unattended with a young dog (6 to 8 months) for about 20 minutes. Similar to tugs, bite bars are not chew toys and should never be left with dogs alone. When used correctly, they last for a very long time. But when left unattended with a dog, it may only last minutes.

just received mine I wouldn't suggest using this with anything other then a puppy or younger dog. My two year old malinois is almost to much for the bite bar and he is new to bite work.

This was my fist product that I ordered from Leerburg. I was very happy with the quality of the bite bar. My 1 year old Pit bull terrier went after it right away. I use it to play tug with him and target biting. Its ambidextrous and can be used as a good intro in to a harder bite sleeve. The leash that came with it I did not think was very useful. All in all it's a great product and find it useful in his training.

My young Malinois prefers this over the Jr. Model . The foam covered handles do not last as the foam is not glued down to the wood ,they fell apart first use then I cut off the foam not as comfortable but safer as the foam would spin when the dog grips . Overall holding up so far linen self heals as it is not a super tight weave .
