Leerburg's 1/2" Double-Ply Leather Belt Leash with Handle is a durable, convenient option as your main lead for every situation or as a backup leash to use for walks. This leash comes with a handle so you can easily use this as a normal leash. When not in use, simply hook it around your waist so that both hands are free for training your dog.

This double-ply belt leash is handmade by the Amish with genuine latigo leather. For extra strength, two layers of leather are sewn together for the entire length of the leash. Fastened with stainless steel snaps and an o-ring, you'll find this leash convenient and useful for everyday walks.

Belt leashes are commonly used in Schutzhund and police protection training. Our snaps are sewn and riveted to ensure the highest security possible for protection training where a broken leash can mean disaster. Get this double-ply leather belt leash today for extra reinforcement!

Leerburg leather products are works of art.

The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand-selected for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. There are many types of Latigo leather that are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg’s Latigo leather.

Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. Our Amish craftsmen have been making Leerburg leather products since 1990.

These Amish craftsmen hand-cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. Due to the nature of handmade products, there is a possibility that your item may vary slightly in size and color. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.

100% of Leerburg leather products are made in Wisconsin. We don't use leather from India, Pakistan, or Mexico.

Care

RESTORE | WATERPROOF | PROTECT

Start by wiping away any loose dirt, buildup, and surface contaminants, then scrub with Spot Cleaner in circular motions using a soft-bristle brush. Once clean, allow the leather to dry fully before conditioning.

Once fully dry, begin conditioning by applying a small amount of Leather Cream onto a lint-free cloth and rub in circular motions until the leather is fully coated. Allow it to dry for one hour, adding more coats if needed, then let it cure for 24 hours.
