Good comprehensive material for someone bringing home a rescue dog, or one from a shelter or rehoming. A good refresher for me since I haven't done it for more than ten years. Wish I'd have known all this the first time. Interestingly, I didn't know the purpose of a slip lead, and recently someone trying to re-home a dog described how they'd brought her home from the shelter and she'd never been in a house before and when they opened the door and tried to go inside, she slipped the collar and ran off.

A great video for sorting out the myriad of problems that can occur when you bring home a rescue pooch, or two. Highly recommended!

In this video they only work with (already) trained dogs and practice a few basic commands. Also they talk a lot without a dog in sight. So this is not really very different from simular free available information on the internet and in books from the library. There are some interesting shots though. The trainers are skilled so the patient viewer can learn some things. Some are qpplicable for an adoption dog but if one is not experienced with dogs there is a risk. I am a bit concerned that the goal, reducing the return rate, will not be achieved.
