What age can a puppy climb stairs? Also how much running inside the house can they do? We let our puppy and cat chase a laser light and it’s great exercise.

We teach all our puppies to do stairs, as soon as we bring them in the house (at 7-8 weeks) they may need some encouragement or luring w/ food. It’s typically easier for them to go up the stairs, coming down is a different skill and can be more difficult for them.

I will caution you against using a laser light with your dog. This can (and likely will) turn into obsessive compulsive behavior.
