I am trying to expand my food reward arsenal and I have a couple of picky dogs.....they will eat some of it but not for long or they look at me like I am trying to poison them.
My List goes like this:
Zukes All Flavors (minis and the squares from LB)
Chicken Jerky Strips (by WagginTails)
Duck Breast Jerky (all natural forgot name)
Chicken Jerkey (from LB)
Dehydrated Chicken Food Toppers (new at LB)
Natural Balance food rolls (Max's doggie crack)
raw sirloin
raw ground turkey (made into 1/2" balls w/raw egg and some THK for a binder)
boiled white meat chicken
boiled pork and buffalo roasts
boiled venison
I change it up a lot. And I used Cindy's idea and made a "trail mix" out of the top treats (not the raw stuff)
What do you all use?

HEy, this is a good one...
I buy the ground turkey tubes, 1 lb each. (could do beef too) Remove packaging, place on plate and microwave for 4 mins, then 4 mins, then 4 mins. (each microwave is different)
It comes out like a lil meatloaf, or kind of like those natural balance food rolls. EASY to cut up into pieces.
If you want to make it into a biscotti type consistancy, just nuke it for more time...oh, then you can soak it in water if you decide you don't want the biscotti! (can you tell I discovered this one by error?

I use these:

and microwave "jerky" that I make from slices of chicken breast. If you store it in the freezer, it doesn't matter whether it's evenly done (which it would if it was stored unrefrigerated, since part could rot).
I buy all the Zuke's flavors for a change-up.

I use string cheese and bite it into small pieces, the old standard hot dogs used the same way, the same Natural Balance food rolls that you use and Foster Farms Honey Roasted chicken strips. I don't know if they are pressed chicken or what but he can nibble at them and they come apart nice and easy.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention string cheese. One of mine likes that best of all.
And I forgot to mention these:

Cool guys, thanks. I have some stuff to order and some to pick up at the grocery store....
One question, do I want to get a certain kind of hot dog? For some reason I am thinking that some are "better" for your dog than others.
And I LOVE the turkey meatloaf idea Michele, I must have thawed those four rolls this morning for this reason too...
Not to mention the turkey is one of Ember and Jesea's favorites.

I accept them all as junk food. I think the turkey and chicken franks have less sodium in them but I'm not positive.

Yes. Natural foods stores carry turkey and chicken franks with low fat and no chemicals (nitrites, etc.). They are not the color of "normal" hot dogs because nitrates and nitrites give that pink-redness, and they are almost always frozen (because of no preservatives). So I think a lot of people miss them because they're in the freezer rather than with the cured meats.

Yep, I just ordered some Duck strips, have the chicken ones and some Simon and Huey white cheddar. I have some Kickin Chicken that I forgot about.
Poor Doug, walked over to the counter the other day because he saw all those colorful bags, he thought I bought him snacks.....
Adding:
Connie, I can get all beef hot dogs at the meat locker. They are bright red. I will ask them if there is any additives in them but somehow I doubt it......these would work wouldn't they?
