Rem: Now lives with a disc dog competitor in Kansas and has settled into life as a demo dog for her dog training business. Every few months she makes the tip up to Wisconsin to live and train with her owner's sister. She's frequently handled by her owner's young son who's she's bonded very close with.
Willow: Willow has been placed with a family right here in ohio. As a solo dog she was very beginner friendly and with good references and an AMAZING dog to child intro (seriously...I don't think I've ever seen a more "okay with kids" dog right out of the box O_O) I let them try her on a trial run. She's settled in nicely as the solo pet in the house.
Soup: Soup is now "Azula" and has been adopted by my housemate so she'll be staying here. Turns out Azula wants to do mushing and obedience (an interesting combination). She's training for rally with her first time dog owner and is enjoying bikejoring to get in shape and burn off her extra energy.
And now the two new fosters...I broke my two rules with shelter pulls....no untested intact male bully breeds and no puppies....also my other general rule of "no more than one puppy in the house at a time"...
#1 is 12 week old Broccoli (Broc) a pit/minpin mix (seriously....take a pit bull head, shrink the back and stick it on a min-pin body and paint the whole think brindle)....I normally do not pull puppies but he was WAY to young to be in such a dirty shelter. He had no interest and had the start of the nasty strain of "green slime" kennel cough which kills dogs there on a regular basis...so I caved. He's pretty much the ideal puppy....crate trains and housebreak's himself, drivey enough to be trainably, low-drive enough to stay out of trouble....after my prior puppy experience he's almost boring XD will make someone a GREAT puppy though. My only complaint is I swear he has no fur....I had to buy him a jacket to get him to come near the door in this weather....
#2 is 16-ish week old 'Murica (he's got derpy yet striking eagle eyes, is a bit chunky, build like a linebacker, he's to goofy for dignified patriotic names....and my housemate wouldn't let me call him "Steak"). He was an owner surrender (which means right to the euth list) on his last day with no interest because he'd been surrendered for "biting".....by which they meant mouthing because he's a teething puppy. He's lab-ish and looks a lot like the shar-pei infused labs a BYB downtown pumps out every few months (and the age lines up to their last craigslist postings for puppies). He's pretty low drive but food motivated, can't walk on a leash to save his life (I think he was corrected hard on a collar , he's SUPER concerned about reaching the end of the leash but it manifests in being unable to walk facing forward...keeps running into things because he's looking back to see where the leash is...). He's braindead-ly easy to train, has a heart of gold, and just wants to snuggle you and hold a plushie in his mouth. I suspect he's going to be big and build like a barrel on legs with a bowling ball in his butt.
Quick Pictures....
